What is Profhilo Body?

Typical treatment areas include the upper arms, abdomen, back of the hands, neck, and other areas with loose skin. It is also suitable for treating loose skin after pregnancy or weight loss.

What is Profhilo®?

Profhilo treatment can be performed on the face, neck, and body to restore skin elasticity, strengthen and hydrate the skin. The treatment provides a contouring effect for aging and sagging tissue.

What results can be achieved with Profhilo?

Profhilo stands out from regular dermal fillers due to its structure, which allows it to spread over a large area. It rejuvenates the skin, adds moisture, and improves firmness. The effects are visible immediately as increased hydration, improved skin tone, and quality. Skin elasticity improves, and fine lines are reduced. For younger skin, it brings softness, radiance, and smoothness.

Are there any restrictions for the treatment?

Injection treatments are not performed on individuals under 18, pregnant, or breastfeeding. Contraindications include active herpes, inflammation or active skin disease in the treatment area, excessive scarring, porphyria, skin damage or open wounds in the treatment area, active skin cancer, warts, bacterial or fungal infections, frostbite or sunburned skin.

Recovery Time

Recovery from the treatment is quick, however, as with any injection treatment, you should be prepared for possible mild swelling, slight redness, and bruising.

Since a needle or cannula is used for administering the substance, there may be slight bleeding at the injection site. Common side effects include tenderness, bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection site. If symptoms persist for more than a week or you experience other side effects, please contact the treating doctor or nurse.

Maintenance of Results

The treatment can be done as a one-time session, but for optimal results, we recommend Profhilo as a two-treatment series, spaced a month apart. Maintenance treatments can be performed about six months after the previous treatment.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

We recommend eating before the treatment and arriving without makeup. Due to the increased risk of bruising and bleeding, we do not recommend anti-inflammatory medications (e.g., Ibuprofen) for three days before the treatment, or natural supplements (e.g., Omega-3, Vitamin E) one week before the treatment. If you need pain relief, we suggest using paracetamol. We will send you an electronic health questionnaire before your appointment, please fill it out before arriving for your treatment.

What does the treatment include?

The treatment includes a consultation, skin cleansing, the procedure itself, aftercare cream, aftercare instructions, and a relaxing, rejuvenating experience at Klinik Linnea.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment takes about 30 minutes, depending on the treated area.

Is there any pain during the treatment?

There is no pain or only mild discomfort. We can apply numbing cream to the treatment area if necessary. Keeping the treatment area cool during the procedure also helps alleviate sensations.

What are the most common reactions after the treatment?

For some clients, normal side effects at the injection sites include swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising. These reactions usually subside within a few days, so it’s advisable to plan for this when scheduling your treatment. You may notice papules at the injection sites until the product dissolves into the skin. These bumps may be visible and feel present for a few days at most.

What are the aftercare instructions for the treatment?

Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided during your treatment. On the day of the treatment, avoid touching the treated area and ensure enhanced hygiene for the treatment area. Do not apply cosmetics to the treated area during the first 24 hours due to infection risk. In the following 24 hours, avoid intense physical activity, sauna use, sweating, and direct UV exposure. We also recommend avoiding other facial treatments, facial massage, and oral and facial area procedures for 2 weeks after treatment. Klinik Linnea recommends using SPF50 sunscreen year-round.
