What is the treatment?

Diolaze XL hair removal is an effective and safe method for removing hair using laser technology. The Diolaze XL laser is FDA-approved, and its power is based on thermal energy. The treatment provides excellent results in reducing and removing hair growth. It is quick, easy, and well-tolerated, as the device’s built-in cooling system makes the procedure comfortable. 

Laser hair removal can be performed on all areas of the skin, and the treatment is suitable for most skin and hair types. At Klinik Linnea, Diolaze XL hair removal is performed by experienced nurses.

What results can be expected?

The thermal energy from the treatment head travels through the hair shaft to the hair follicle, where it causes the follicle to shrink and prevents further hair growth. Typically, 5-10 treatments are required. New hairs may need to be treated every 1-2 years, or as needed.

When the treatment is repeated multiple times, the results are significant, and hair growth is reduced considerably. The final result is beautiful, smooth, and soft skin.

Are there any restrictions for this treatment?

The treatment is not recommended for pregnant women. It should not be performed if you have a herpes simplex infection, open wounds, skin damage, skin cancer, acne (stage 4), warts, bacterial or fungal infections, actinic keratosis, hemophilia, or scleroderma. The treatment is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I-III and is not recommended for darker skin types. The laser does not work on completely white hair and is not suitable for patients using light-sensitive medication.

Recovery time

The treatment area is treated with the laser twice, after which the hair follicles shed within about two weeks. The treatment is repeated when new hair growth appears, usually 5-8 weeks later. With each session, hair growth slows down, and the number of treatments required decreases.

After the treatment, there may be mild redness, warmth, swelling, or tenderness in the treated area.

Maintaining results

Typically, 5-10 treatments are required for effective hair removal. New hair in the growth phase may need to be treated every 1-2 years, or as needed. The treatment is repeated when new hair growth appears, usually 5-8 weeks after the previous session. With each treatment, hair growth decreases, and the number of sessions required will be reduced. If hair growth is particularly dense, more sessions may be needed.
