Treatment is not possible in cases of keloid scarring, active herpes simplex, open wounds, skin cancer (under treatment), warts, bacterial or fungal infections, actinic keratosis, hemophilia, scleroderma, or when using photosensitizing medications like isotretinoin. Minimal laser treatments require no downtime, while more intensive treatments may require short recovery periods. For instance, Hollywood Laser Peel and Soft Peel are suitable even during busy schedules. Typical mild symptoms after laser treatments include redness, uneven tone and/or localized darkening of pigmentation (after treating pigmentation issues), slight swelling, and petechiae (tiny blood spots). Symptoms vary individually and typically subside within a week. Good skin condition supports faster recovery.

If necessary, the skin can be numbed with lidocaine cream. We also use a Zimmer Cryo6 cooling fan during the treatment to reduce sensations and reactions, ensuring safety by cooling the surrounding tissue.
