Klinik Linnea’s owner, nurse Lotta Haglund, highlighted the key current trends in aesthetic skincare in an interview with Iltalehti.
When it comes to treating aging skin, the focus has shifted from fillers towards solutions that support the skin’s own renewal. Biostimulation, light and laser therapies, as well as other device-based treatments, activate cell regeneration and help, for example, with pigmentation issues.
The newest arrivals are regenerative treatments, which stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. One example is the Tience treatment, available at Klinik Linnea, which provides natural and subtle results. Polynucleotide and PRP treatments have also become increasingly common and are now part of everyday practice in many clinics.
Nowadays, the focus is increasingly on treatments that improve tissue texture, rather than simply filling the skin.

Exosomes have emerged as one of the industry’s hottest topics. They are often combined with microneedling and laser treatments to support skin elasticity and collagen production.
Classic treatments such as botulinum toxin remain highly popular, while the importance of consistent home care routines is stronger than ever: daily cleansing, serums, moisturizer, regular exfoliation, as well as retinol-based products and effective sun protection create the foundation on which clinic treatments can build.
According to Haglund, natural-looking and gradual results are more important than ever – and despite the challenging economic climate, the demand for aesthetic treatments continues to grow.
