Polynucleotide treatments – natural skin renewal with the power of salmon DNA

09/19/2025

In 2025, the direction of aesthetic medicine is clear: people increasingly want natural, long-lasting, and skin-friendly treatment methods. Instead of passive filling, people want to activate the skin’s own regenerative capacity and build well-being from the inside out.

Polynucleotide treatments meet this need – a regenerative treatment that has been one of the most popular treatments in my clinic throughout the summer. And with good reason: the results are particularly impressive in smoothing the eye area, evening out skin texture, and strengthening sensitive skin.

Polynucleotides: a treatment that harnesses the biological intelligence of the skin

Polynucleotides (PN) are long DNA fragments that stimulate skin cells to regenerate and repair themselves. They support, among other things, the activity of fibroblasts (which produce collagen and elastin), the calming of inflammatory reactions, the restoration of the skin’s moisture balance, and the repair of tissue damage. In practice, this means healthier, firmer, and smoother-looking skin — without fillers or permanent changes to facial expressions.

Q: Why salmon DNA?

At Klinik Linnea, we use the Korean Rejuran® polynucleotide preparation, which is made from purified salmon sperm DNA.

Salmon DNA:

Is genetically compatible with human skin and very well tolerated

It is carefully purified to remove proteins and potential allergens

It contains a high concentration of biologically active polynucleotides that effectively and safely stimulate the skin’s own repair process

The product contains no additives, making it ideal for sensitive or reactive skin – especially when combined with other treatments, such as microneedling or Morpheus 8 treatment, which you can read more about here.

My own experience of the treatment

I would also like to share my personal experience, as I have undergone Rejura Healer treatment myself and have been genuinely impressed with the results on my own atopic skin. After just a few weeks, I noticed how the area around my eyes was revitalized, my skin felt smoother, and it had a clear, healthy glow. In addition, the skin recovers much faster than with other treatments, such as micro-needling, which is a sign that the skin’s defenses and repair mechanisms have been activated.

In my work with clients, I have seen the same effect time and time again – especially with texture problems, sensitivity, and scarred skin. The results have been tangible and customer feedback has been positive.

Really satisfied, especially as the lines around my eyes have disappeared.

Q: Who is PN treatment suitable for?

Rejuran® polynucleotide treatment is suitable for almost anyone who:

-Want natural skin renewal and preventive treatment

-Want to soften small lines or improve skin texture

-Suffer from scars, dullness, or surface dryness

-Are looking for help for sensitive or irritated skin

-Want faster recovery after other treatments

Polynucleotide treatment is one of the few treatments that genuinely affects the “intelligence” of the skin – not just the surface. It does not fill or remain as a solid substance in the skin, but stimulates the body to function better itself.

At Klinik Linnea, we always create individualized treatment plans. If you are interested in PN treatment or would like to know more about combinations tailored to your skin, you are warmly welcome to a consultation.
